TAMANNA RAHMAN TO LEAD CULTURAL DELEGATION TO NEPAL. Tamanna Rahman, exponent of Manipuri dance and accomplished choreographer of Bangladesh, is going to lead a 9 member cultural delegation to Nepal which will perform at the 45th Victory Day celebration of Bangladesh at Kathmandu..
Nrityam Nrityasheelon Kendro, one of the leading Dance Institution of Bangladesh, which is founded by Tamanna Rahman in 1998, is being invited by the Embassy of Bangladesh at Kathmandu to perform at this glorious occasion of Victory Day to be celebrated at Kathmandu on 16th December 2015.
Former Prime Minister of Nepal Sushil Koirala (Recipient of Friends of Bangladesh Honour) will grace the occasion as Chief Guest and will be held at the Rastriya Sabha Griha (City Hall), Kathmandu.
To be presented by Tamanna Rahman and artists of Nrityam Nrityasheelon Kendro, the program will portray the heritage, culture, struggle and achievement of Bangladesh through different dance numbers. Other members (dance artist) of the team are Subrata Das, Joyonty Samantha, Shahidul Islam, Katha, Chhoa, Bithi, Farzin and Ripon.
The program will be presented in two parts. The first part will showcase the traditional Manipuri Dance and the second part will present dances composed on folk songs depicting the rural life, patriotic songs, Rabindra- Nazrul songs etc. all choreographed by Tamanna Rahman.
The delegation will leave on 13th December for Kathmandu and will return on 17th December.
