Bandhu Social Welfare Society (BSWS) established in 1996 is a not-for-profit Bangladeshi Community-based organization with the vision to improve the reproductive and sexual health and well being of Sexual Minority Population.
A core objective of BSWS work is to advocate and provide for an environment where the respect and dignity of sexual minority, irrespective of their specific gender and/or sexual identity, or the lack thereof, is assured. Currently BSWS is extending support to its targeted beneficiaries throughout the country.
As part of BSWS’s activities, it has launched its Media Fellowship initiatives since 2011 that leverage the influence of the media to work as a positive force for improving the human rights and health of sexual minority people.
It’s their pleasure to let you know that recently BSWS announced its 4th Media Fellowship where a total of 10 media fellows from different prominent media outlets have been nominated.
As a part of closing ceremony, BSWS intend to arrange a grand closing ceremony on 14th December 2014 at Ajimur Rahman Conference Hall of The Daily Star from 10.30 am-1.30 pm. For this purpose, BSWS intends to invite you as Guest.
They believe that your kind presence and valuable suggestion and advice will enrich our closing ceremony and encourage our fellows to work more intensively with this stigmatized group to establish their rights.
They hope that you will give your kind consent and agree to be with us on 14th December 2014. I look forward to hearing from you at the earliest.
