Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Syed Muazzem Ali called on Indian Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda today.
The meeting was hour long and a fruitful one covering many areas of bilateral cooperation. High Commissioner Mr. Ali appraised Minister Nadda about the remarkable progress achieved by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina – in the attainment of the MDGs and especially in the field of healthcare, combating contagious diseases and immunisation.
During the meeting, the Minister Nadda deeply appreciated the achievements of Bangladesh Government in ensuring primary healthcare facilities for the people – especially in the rural areas.
He assured allout cooperation from India in the field of tertiary healthcare and in connecting rural healthcare systems with a network-centric architectures.
The Indian Health Minister accepted in principle an invitation to visit Bangladesh in June this year.
