Huawei sends ‘Seeds for the Future’ to China for Training. Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Ltd is organizing a two week long training program in China for the winners of ‘Seeds for the Future’.
The nine winners from leading universities of Bangladesh have left the country on Saturday(September 5, 2015) to participate in the training program which is scheduled on 5th to 19th September of 2015.
Huawei has selected top 9 winners among 500 Plus students presentations from five universities — BUET, DU, IUT, CUET and KUET — through judges panel comprising of faculty members and experts from Huawei.
‘Seeds for the Future’ is the Huawei’s global talent developing program which is its most heavily invested CSR activity. The program seeks to develop local ICT talent, enhance knowledge transfers, and improve people’s understanding of ICT and interest in the telecommunications industry.
Huawei selected the winners at the grand finale of the ‘Seeds for Future’ talent developing program on 11th June 2015 at the Eden Ballroom, Amari Dhaka Hotel in Gulshan. Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP, Honourable State Minister for ICT division, Ministry of Post, Telecommunications and ICT attended the event as the chief guest.
During two week stay in China, students will participate in various knowledge sharing and learning sessions. They will first go to Beijing to receive cultural training by Beijing Language and Culture University.
In second week, students will go to the Huawei Headquarters located in Shenzhen where they will be able to study the most advanced ICT technologies. They will also receive training from the Huawei Experts. The students will then sit for a test which will determine their learning during the visit and will receive certificate after that.
On September 02, 2015, Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) has also organized a pre-departure briefing with the winning students at its office in Dhaka in a bid to make them clear the China part agenda of the Seeds for the Future event. Mr. Zhangmingwen, Chief Operating Officer of Huawei Technologies Bangladesh, attended the briefing session as the chief guest.
About the Seeds for the Future training in China, Zhangmingwen, Chief Operating Officer of Huawei Technologies Bangladesh said: “We are very excited about the ‘Seeds for the Future’ program. The finalists will get the chance to visit various famous locations of China as well as a various knowledge sharing training, which will be a big experience for the winners from Bangladesh.”
“We think students will learn a lot on this trip. I hope they will also bring back good memories to Bangladesh after completion the tour. This will inspire them to utilize their talent for the sustainable development towards a better connected world, which is the vision of Huawei as well,” said Zhangmingwen.
