Indian Visa Application Centre at Uttara. State Bank of India (SBI), the authorized agent of the High Commission of India, Dhaka for accepting Indian visa applications through Indian Visa Application Centres (IVACs), launched a new IVAC at Uttara on 29 December, 2015.
The new IVAC was inaugurated by Acting High Commissioner Dr. Adarsh Swaika in the presence of officials from State Bank of India.
With the opening of the IVAC at Uttara, the number of IVACs in Dhaka has gone up to four. These include the IVACs in Gulshan, Dhanmondi and Motijheel. Three new IVACs were opened in September 2015 at Barisal, Rangpur and Mymensingh.
This was in addition to the Centres at Chittagong, Rajshahi, Sylhet and Khulna. State Bank of India is presently operating 11 Indian Visa Application Centres in Bangladesh in all.
The new IVAC facility at Uttara will be open to visa applicants from 30 December 2015. Visa applicants can deposit their application forms at IVAC at House Number 56, Road Number 18, Sector 7, Uttara between 0800 hours to 1300 hours and collect their passports from 1500 hours to 1800 hours.
