Maiden Data Centre Technology summit in Dhaka on Friday. Fist ever Data Centre Technologies Summit and Green Data Centre Conference will be held in Dhaka on Friday.
Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS), Computer Engineering Division of Institute of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB), DCiCON and Bangladesh chapter of ASHRAE jointly organize the two-day summit at Krishibid Institute in Farmgate area in the capital.
Organizers shared the detail of the summit at a media meet at a Dhanmondi conference centre on Tuesday.
BCS Vice President Mohammad Abdus Sobhan, IEB Computer Engineering Secretray Mohammad Tamig Uddin Ahmed, DCiCON Chief Executive Officer and Lead Consultant Masud Parvaj and Uptime Institute Managing Director John Duffin were, among others, present at the media meet moderated by Eng Manas Kumar Mitra.
IEB President Eng Mohammad Kabir Ahmed Bhuiyan is scheduled to present as chief guest while IEB Secretary General Eng Abdus Sabur will guest of honour at the inauguration of the summit.
BCS President and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology Prof Dr Mohammad Mahfuzul Islam, ASHRAE Bangladesh chapter President Eng Manas Kumar Mitra will present speech on the occasion.
Conference organizer DCiCON Chief Executive Officer and Lead Consultant Masud Parvaj said, “The effective use of ICT is considered as driving force in expansion of economy, social and political progress everywhere. The conference is organized as a supporting initiative of the “Digital Bangladesh” vision announced by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,”.
This year, the main focusing point of the conference is contribution of data centre in ICT sector.
Besides, the local and international experts will share the challenges and solutions of the sector in their specific sessions which will influence national level.
The organizers hope that kind of summit support the ICT sector of Bangladesh towards a global standard position.
