Uttara has emerged as the most popular location with property seekers in Dhaka, according to new research from leading real estate website Lamudi.
The research is based on an analysis of requests received through Lamudi’s new property hotline. The Dial for Home service puts house hunters directly in contact with real estate developers who are advertising properties that match their needs.
As part of the service, house-hunters can call the 01777-777-187 hotline number and explain their requirements to a customer service representative, who will cross reference their needs with Lamudi’s extensive property database.
A text message is then automatically sent to developers who have properties matching the caller’s requirements. This text message will include the house hunter’s contact details so that the developers can get directly in touch with potential clients.
Since launching the service last year, Lamudi has sent over 15,000 SMS leads to its partner real estate companies and home seekers. Four areas in Dhaka – Mohammadpur, Dhanmondi, Uttara and Bashundhara – have proved to be the most popular with callers to the hotline.
To date, Lamudi has sent around 3400 SMS leads for Uttara, 2200 for Mohammadpur, 1300 for Bashundhara and 1200 for Dhanmondi through their Dial for Home initiative.
Rajesh Grover, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Lamudi Bangladesh, said: “We have had a phenomenal response to the Dial for Home Service. Most of the queries we receive through the hotline are for residential and commercial properties. Our observation is people are most concerned about locations that offer planned residential areas, easy access to urban facilities and affordable housing.”
Property seekers can try the Dial for Home service by calling 01777-777-187.
