BRAC Advocacy for Social Change is going to organise a seminar titled ‘Road safety in Bangladesh: Progress and challenges’ on 13 August 2015, Thursday, at 10:30am at the Daily Star Auditorium in Dhaka.
The event is being organised under a project titled ‘Promoting Safe Rode Code’, which is carrying out policy advocacy through a series of activities, including research, mobilisation of stakeholders and public awareness programmes.

Time: 10:30am-1:30pm, followed by lunch
Former adviser to the caretaker government Dr Hossain Zillur Rahman, currently executive chairman, Power and Participation Research Centre ( PPRC), and Barrister Sara Hossain, honourary executive director, Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust, will attend the seminar, among others.
Researchers, issue experts, representatives from non-governmental organisations as well as transport owners and workers associations are also expected to be present at the seminar.
Asif Saleh, senior director, Strategy, Communications and Empowerment, BRAC and BRAC International, will chair the event.
