SEVEN is based on real life stories of seven women’s rights activists from Nigeria, Cambodia, Guatemala, Northern Ireland, Afghanistan, Russia and Pakistan. The play is presented as a reading, every time performed/read by seven new persons, who themselves, represent different aspects of society: politicians, activists, journalists, etc.
The aim of the performance is to bring women’s rights issues higher on the political and media agenda, by raising awareness and engagement, and to stimulate the debate on women’s role in the society. So far Seven has been translated into 23 languages – Bangla is next!
