The two-day ICT Fair at the Cardiff International School Dhaka (CISD) ended recently on a high note as students of the city’s one of the leading English medium schools developed and demonstrated unique software that would help solve different problems the people are encountering regularly.
Omi Ashraf, a class seven student of the school, has developed official intelligence software which would help detect the cybercrimes committed through email, social media or other means. “If anybody gives threat or circulate any vulgar things through email or social media like facebook, twitter, instagram, this software would detect those,” said Omi.
He said if any cyber criminal downloads its link in any way, then it starts sending screen images twice in every five seconds automatically.
After that it begins sending text documents in every thirty minutes so that all information of the computer including password of the offender could be known, he said.
Omi said the software could play an effective role in checking pornography and detecting email threat and fake facebook ID. Besides, he has developed a new web browser-“Lighting the Web Browser”. There are better options of the browser than other browsers that people are now using. Through the software developed by “visual studio 2013”, any application could be downloaded like internet download manager (IDM), Omi said.
“The software having colour change themes could be hidden at any location,” he added.
Sadat Parvez, Farabi Akand and Chowdhury Shakib Shahriar, class five, six and seven students of the school, have innovated a project named “Google Driverless Car”.
Any vehicle could be driven with the help of the Google by using censor or GPS, they claim.
Not only that three students of class six-AFM Faiyaz Rahman, Abdullah Omar Nasif and Ahmed Zubair As Sakib, have developed a project named “Dream Bangladesh”.
Students of the United International University have displayed a project in the ICT Fair on how risky job could be done in short time by using drone.
The two-day fair attracted huge number of students from different city schools, colleges and universities. Various innovative projects on ICT, education and entertainment were displayed in the fair. Besides, there were gaming and digital art competitions, robot and drone exhibition, logo and SMS contests and brainteaser.
