Nari Unnayan Shakti (NUS) today organized an awareness campaign for the patients living with schizophrenia with the participation of survivors and their parents and local elites at Banasree NUS’s Training Center. Forum for Culture and Human Development and Fatema Kamal Foundation jointly supported the event.
Sufia Begum, Chairperson of Nari Unnayan Shakti presided over the meeting. Dr. Afroja Parvin, Executive Director of NUS presented at the event. She told to everybody for friendly behave with the patients living with schizophrenia object to reduce their sufferings. NUS Chairperson Sufia Begum urged to government and NGOs for preservation of their rights in the society.
Rubina, a survivor of schizophrenia disease shared her experience and sufferings at the meeting. Mother of schizophrenia patient Sajeda Begum urged Prime minister to extend governmental support for preserve the rights and sanction monthly remuneration of schizophrenia patients.
Hamida Khatun, President of Fatema Kamal Foundation was present the meeting as special guests.
