Rights of River & Right to River

The rivers around the country are being filled up or being encroached upon in such a manner that is threatening the very existence of human habitation.

Bangladesh is also destroying its surface and ground water by throwing waste into water bodies and over extracting ground water.

In the future, the growing world population, further spread of irrigated agriculture and industrialization, will make increasing demands and competition for scarce water resources which will create future conflict.

In these context, ActionAid Bangladesh cordially invites you to cover the dialogue on “Rights of River & Right to River” on 5th October 2017, tomorrow, at 9:30AM at CIRDAP Auditorium.
