Thailand mulls hiring more Bangladeshi workers Bangkok (Thailand).  “Thailand values Bangladesh as a major sending country of high quality skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workforce and will give active consideration to the issue of recruiting Bangladeshi workers in relevant sectors in Thailand”, said Chairman of the National Reform Council Committee on Labour Reform of the Royal Thai Government Lieutenant General Decha Punyaban, during a meeting with Bangladesh Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Nurul Islam, B.Sc in Bangkok today.

During the meeting, the Minister briefed the Thai side about the initiatives taken by the Government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to promote overseas labour employment through a “safe migration with dignity” policy. He apprised the Chairman of the 9 million Bangladeshi migrant workers that are currently employed in 160 countries across the world and have earned commendable global recognition as a hard-working and law-abiding workforce.

He also informed that the Government maintains a database of 2 million aspirant migrant workers along with 71 technical training centres (TTC), from which Bangladesh has the readiness and capacity to deploy a large number of trained workers in various sectors in Thailand, including fishing, construction, agriculture, industry, manufacturing, IT and hospitality.

The Minister also requested for an early conclusion of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Employment of Sea Fishery and Construction Workers between Bangladesh and Thailand. He praised the commitment of Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn towards promoting vocational training and also commended the transformative reforms, particularly for improving the health and safety standards of workers, undertaken by Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha’s Government.

The Chairman of the Thai Labor Reform Committee praised the positive reputation earned by Bangladeshi workers abroad and highlighted the possibility of initiating technical cooperation between the vocational training institutes of the two countries. He briefed the Bangladesh Minister about the legalization of more than 1.6 million workers from neighbouring ASEAN countries. He assured of all possible support in connection with giving due consideration to concluding the labour MoU between Bangladesh and Thailand.

Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment is on a 2-day visit to Thailand to discuss potential recruitment of Bangladeshi labour in Thailand, particularly in the deep sea fishery, construction, manufacturing and service sectors.

During the meeting, the Minister was accompanied by Bangladesh Ambassador to Thailand Saida Muna Tasneem and senior officials of the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment. From the Thai side, the Chairman was accompanied by senior members and advisors of the 27-member Committee on Labour Reform under the Committee of the National Reform Council of the Royal Thai Government.

I belong from Beautiful Country Bangladesh. but now i live in Kuala Lumpur and doing Online job and my current visa is Service Sector Visa. In my 3 years Alien Country i did lots of job in Malaysia like I have 3 years job experience in Night Club as a Floor Manager in Zouk Club (1.5 Yrs) at the same time i did a job as a part time Brand Ambassador in Fuze Club. 1.8 yrs as a Area Manager in a Yellow Star Company. Today i am here because of Thai Working Visa.I saw lot of videos,articles from you-tube Channel and Blogs but those videos are good but not best because of my subject are different. i am thinking to move in Bangkok and doing job there.but i have no knowledge about Thai working visa. lots of friend and agent give me different way to move in Thailand, but i can not trust them that’s why i am here today. because i believe that only you can help me, you have lot of experience in Thailand . so basically i want to know how can i move in Thailand with working visa from Malaysia with my Bangladeshi passport. if this processed are not working what should i do next ? should i go back my country and apply for visa ? i think this one is a rear case to you. because normally people going to Thailand for fun with tourist Visa. To legally work in Thailand, a foreigner must apply for a work permit. but how can i get it from Malaysia ? i want it from Malaysia because of visa cost its really cheap. lots of question in my mind now but some of i am telling you. please make a video for us who really want to work in Thailand…. its really good for us. and please please tell me about total cost of working visa and living cost. thank you so much. i am waiting for your response.
