World Accreditation Day, 2015 will be observed in the country on June 9 to heighten awareness on accreditation with focus on the theme ‘Accreditation: Supporting the Delivery of Health and Social Care’. Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) and the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) will jointly organize a seminar at DCCI auditorium on the day on this occasion.
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu is expected to be present as the chief guest while Industries Secretary Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan and DCCI senior Vice President Humayun Rashid will speak at the seminar as special guest. Prof Pran Gopal Datta, former Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, will present the theme paper at the seminar.
Technical persons, businessmen, regulators, academicians, development partners and experts from different laboratories are expected to be present. BAB has published an attractive souvenir, colorful posters and will send the message among the people through SMS by the mobile telephone operators and Bangladesh Television will organize a television talk show on the significance of the day.

Through the standardization and regulatory process, coupled with accreditation, health and social care is provided at the right quality, efficiently and using the most appropriate resources from around the world.
