ABC Radio, unlike any FM Radio is the first news-oriented FM Radio of Bangladesh. ABC radio is a portion of the Mediastar Limited of Transcom Limited. Like The Daily Prothom Alo, it is a concern of Transcom group. It was founded in 2007. M. Sanaullah, former News Editor of Prothom-alo is the Chief Operating Officer of this Radio.
The station stays on air round the clock. The Listeners hear it from Dhaka station at FM 89.2 MHz of frequency. ABC Radio threw its commercial airing on 7th January 2009. The station airs many program, including News bulletins, Talk shows on current affairs, entertainment, Radio documentaries, Information updates such as traffic, outdoor event, Stock Market, bazaar, weather, culture, and time queue, Live shows with RJ’s, Weekly and monthly special programs, Talks show with celebrities etc. It plays songs in Bangla, English and Hindi. About 3.3 million people can listen to its live from anywhere of the country.
