DW (Deutsche Welle) is a group of media. Deutsche Welle means in English is: German Wave. DW has several kinds of publications. They have online publication including radio and television channels. Its headquarter is in Bonn, Germany.
They have 30 languages publication. It also an English language TV News Channel. But it has also in Arabic and German languages. The channels concentrate on news and information. These channels are broadcast on satellite and produced from Berlin.
DW was first launch on August 1988 as RIAS-TV, then relaunch as DW TV on 1st April 1992. Then Deutsche Welle relaunched their television channels on 6 February 2012, using the abbreviation DW for all its services. Deutsche Welle also revamped the television schedules.
