I am veteran journalist based in Dhaka having 19 years experience in working in print media. I would like to work for your estemed organisation in Dhaka, Bangladesh .
I made my debut in journalism in Dhaka as a staff reporter in Bengali weekly newspaper Manabzamin in 1996. Later I performed as the chief reporter of that newspaper. In 1998 weekly Manabzamin became a daily newspaper and I worked the daily as a Senior Staff Reporter. I, however, resigned from the daily on March 31, 2004 and joined that times one of the best national daily `Amar Desh’ on April 1, 2004. Just three years later I promoted as the Special Correspondent in April 1, 2007 and I leave Amardesh on 18 July 2009. Later joined a new Renowned National Bengali daily `Kaler Kontho’. I have worked with the Kaler Kontho from Auguht 1, 2009 to May 26, 2015, At present I am working as the Special Correspondent of a newly publish National Bengali daily `Ajker Potrika..
Areas of Reporting: An experienced reporter in the field of Telecommunication, Election, Defense, Health and Environment. Beside have wide experience to the investigative stories on corruption, politics, natural disaster, disaster management as well as law and order situation almost all arias in the country. Awards: I Got best award from the UN population fund (UNFPA) for health reporting in 2002, Zahoor Hossain Award from Dhaka Reporters Unity for best reporting on women & children issues in 2002, TIB (Transparency International Bangladesh) award for investigative reporting on corruption in 2002, PIB-UNICEF award for reporting on child abuse in 2004, rejected TIB award for lack of transparency in 2004, honored by Gold medal’ from Meherpur Municipality in 2005 as the first national level rewarded journalist hailing district, received Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) award for best reporting on liberation war issues in 2005, next year 2006 again received same DRU award received in 2005 and received Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) award for best reporting on Election and democrecy (Pothik Shaha Memorial Award)- 2013.
Travel: Traveled Sierra Leone & Ivory Coast to see the activities of the Bangladesh Armed Forces working under UN peacekeeping missions. Also traveled China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Qatar, Egypt, Singapore. Thailand, Spain ( Barcelona). UK ( London, North Wales & Brighton) Katar, Pakistan & India.
