As part of the yearlong celebration of the centenary birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Embassy of Bangladesh in The Hague has launched a week-long photo exhibition titled ‘The Portrait of a Leader’ at the Embassy premises. Mr. Khondaker Ehteshamul Kabir, Charge d’ Affaires, a.i. of Bangladesh Embassy in the Netherlands ceremonially inaugurated the photo exhibition this afternoon. Representatives of local media and members of Bangladesh community joined the inauguration event.
Mr. Khondaker Ehteshamul Kabir, Charge d’ Affaires, a.i. of Bangladesh Embassy in the Netherlands paid profound homage to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and expressed gratitude to the members of community as well as the press for their joining in the inauguration ceremony of the photo exhibition despite the coronavirus fear. The photo exhibition is displaying as many as 64 photos on Bangabandhu’s political and diplomatic activities and family life. The photo exhibition will run until 31 March 2020.
The exhibition has been organized with an aim to bring a towering personality and a great leader Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman closer to the people in the Netherlands Bangabandhu’s charismatic leadership in liberating his countrymen and his diplomatic acumen towards a just world is duly portrayed through the exhibition.
Earlier in the morning, the Charge d’ Affaires of the Embassy hoisted the National Flag of Bangladesh at the Embassy.
