Today Nari Unnayan Shakti (NUS) organized a campaign program on Breast Cancer Prevention through a gathering with Survivors of Breast Cancer and women over 40 years from Khilgaon and Rampura area at NUS’s Training Center, Banasree, Dhaka. International Culture University, Forum for Culture and Human Development and Cherry Blossoms International School have jointly supported this campaign program.

Dr. Afroja Parvin, Executive Director, Nari Unnayan Shakti presided over the event while Shaleha Kader was the Chief Guest. Among the survivors Special Guest was Dr. Shahnaj Parveen, Professor, Bangladesh Agriculture University, Mymensingh, Salma Sultana Parvin, survivor and community women.

Ferdousi Begum, Senior Teacher of Zatrabari Ideal School and Advocate Alamgir Monsur Khan also spokes in the event. The guests in their speech addressed the women to done their Mammography to prevent Breast Cancer while ages cross forty years. They also recommended for manual breast check whether there is tumor, discolor, and discharged. If there is then and then go for health checkup.
