Speakers at the“Academic Retreat 2014”of International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) have  emphasized on excellent teaching of global standard to produce world class graduates capable of meeting the challenges at home and abroad.
Academic Retreat, an innovative academic program  arranged at Bazar within a fascinating environment of seashore belt. The daylong plenary  session began this morning(Friday) at Hotel Seagull. The session is marked by wide range of exploration to find out the  modalities  to ensure   producing efficient graduates befitting to 21st century job markets.
Earlier,  a big contingent ofof more than 150  old and new academics, comprising of departmental chairs, directors, coordinators, faculty members of different colleges and departments have  reached Cox’s Bazar with enthusiasm and exuberance.Dr M A Jabbar, Chair, Department of Economics  as convener  of the Academic Retreat Organizing Committee led the entourage .
Prof. Dr. M Alimullah Miyan, Founder and Vice Chancellor of IUBAT reached Cox’s Bazar with number of  members of the  Board of Directors of IUBAT for joining this spectacular entertaining academic extravaganza in the best interest of higher education.
The participants will attend the academic session  within a fascinating  outstation environment. The  proceedings will be marked by deliberations by old and new academics of academics  stressing  on capacity development of students. They will  underscore the need of better grooming and excellent teaching to produce graduates who will be able to meet the global challenges.

‘Academic Retreat is a part of faculty orientation for improving teaching skills, ability and capacity to achieve a particular academic objective in line with   mission, vision and objectives of the university for strengthening  manpower development.The focal point of the program is to find out the best method of  disseminating advanced knowledge and technology to ensure   grooming of  new graduates.
Adequate skills,  expertise backed by IT proficiency is the backbone  of new professionals of 21 century.  Effective teaching, training and guidance  are the panacea to attain this professional excellence .
