Smt. Riva Ganguly Das, High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh met Mr. Md. Moniruzzaman, President of RajshahiChamber of Commerce and Industry, its Board of Directors and prominent businessmen of Rajshahi on July 22, 2019.  She was accompanied by Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Bhati, Assistant High Commissioner of India in Rajshahi and Mr. Vishal Jyoti Das, Second Secretary(Visa & Consular), High Commission of India, Dhaka.

During the interaction, she underlined the immense potential for trade and commerce that exists between Rajshahi and India.  She expressed satisfaction at the state of bilateral relations between India and Bangladesh in general and with Rajshahi in particular, and expressed hope to work together on projects aimed at enhancing linkages between Rajshahi and India. The High Commissioner urged the senior businessmen to take advantage of the excellent bilateral relations and contribute in increasing bilateral trade.

The President and the Board of Directors thanked the High Commissioner for her visit and the important interaction that took place between the two sides.  The High Commissioner also thanked the Chamber for extending its support to the Assistant High Commission of India in Rajshahi and expressed the hope to have more such discussions in future as well.
