Mrs Antoinette handed over "MoU" between IUBAT and Niketon



International Programs of IUBAT — ‘International University of Business Agriculture and Technology’ organized “MoU Handing over Ceremony between IUBAT and Niketon (a Dutch NGO in Bangladesh),” at 3 PM, on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the IUBAT Founder’s Room#210.

Mrs Antoinette Termoshuizen (From Netherlands), who is Founder and Project Coordinator of a Dutch NGO in Bangladesh, named Niketan, handed over the Memorandum of Understanding: MoU to Prof Dr M Alimullah Miyan, VC, IUBAT, which was already signed between IUBAT and Niketon to research for a bio-degradable (what can be decomposed easily with the soil) Diaper:  “DAYPARA project”, specially for handicapped people from locally available materials, specially Dhoincha.

Prof Dr M Alimullah Miyan, Vice-Chancellor and Founder of IUBAT, presided over this auspicious MoU Handing Over ceremony.

In this this MoU Handing Over ceremony, following persons were present: Mrs Antoinette Termoshuizen; Prof M Alimullah Miyan, Vice-Chancellor; Ms Selina Nargis, Director, Administration, and Coordinator, International Programs; Dr Mohammed Ataur Rahman, Environmental Sciences & CAS Faculty; Dr M A Hannan, Registrar; Dr M Rehan Dastagir, Environmental Sciences, and M Ibne Mujib of International Programs. Mrs Antoinette Termoshuizen, also, observed IUBAT’s activities and had a detailed discussion on KBAD, System of teaching and learning, discussed a wider-angle of mutual interests between IUBAT and Niketon.

Vice Chancellor informed Mrs Antoinette that one of his Dutch architect friends designed the “proposed planned 500 bed IUBAT teaching hospital”. He, also, informed her about lease of 30 bigha of land at Sreepur for setting up of experimental agricultural program for the College of Agricultural Sciences, about taking a lease of nearly 1500 bighas of marshy land at Brahmanbaria for an integrated fisheries development project and about the long standing issue of 300 bighas of land at Chittagong Hill Tracts for setting up a highland agricultural farm(the land is yet to come to IUBAT’s control), and about other activities around organic farming, and about the agreement for lease of 432 acres of land in Bancharampur: IUBAT signed for Bancharampur Integrated Haor Development Project, and about IUBAT’s taking initiative to introduce research, tourism information service, health service and KBAD activities under this project.
