Classical Music Academy of Dhaka (CMA) and Musical Youth for Traditional Herald (MYTH) jointly organized and performed in a complete orchestral composition written by local musicians – first ever in Bangladesh.
Titled ‘Raham Ali’r Putul Nach’, a story of a native puppet-master was introduced by a narrator and chamber orchestral musical ensemble- depicting a puppet-master’s leave of countryside for the city with a view to enhancing the fame of his show and his return to the root after several denials, betrayal and tragedy.
The composition was performed in three different venues of Dhaka- at Bishwoshahitya Kendra on 20-21 August- where the friends from Center for Rehabilitation of the Paralyzed (CRP) joined a Chorus with the orchestra; at CIRDAP auditorium, arranged especially for underprivileged children and at Chhayanot on August 30.
The audience were mesmerized as Ricardo Elias Rodriguez, a professor of violin at University of Veracruj of Mexico, played with the chamber orchestra and attended his own solo performance.
