Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said, the history of 7 Nov is the history of sepoy-people upsurge for bringing back politics to people from cantonment.
Information minister described the Day as the first attempt of people and armed forces allies against the heinous killing of Bangabandhu and his family.
The Jasod President was speaking in Col Taher hall in the party office at Bangabandhu avenue as chief guest at a Jasod discussion on 7 Nov, titled ‘Unity against BNP-Jamaat to eradicate militancy and crimes against humanity’.
Inu in his 23 minutes speech portrayed Ziaur Rahman as a power-monger villain who under false accusations killed the real hero Col Abu Taher, who freed Zia from sepoy-siege.
The minister said, BNP leader Begum Zia has followed the treacherous footprints of Zia-Khaled Mosharraf-Moshtaq and paved the way for rise of communal militancy and terrorism by patting the Rajakars and killers of the Father of the Nation. Unity of all sectors under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to eradicate the criminal forces of BNP-Jamaat is the only means to pay tribute to the real patriots like Col Taher and his allies.
Jasod General Secretary Sharif Nurul Ambia, President of Muktizoddha Sangram Parishad Habibur Rahman Showkat, Convenor of Jatiya Nari Jot Afroza Haq Rina among others spoke on the occasion.
